Jae-Yeon Won possesses a uniquely captivating sound that sets him apart as a truly exceptional musician of his generation. Recognizing his artistry, Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote, "His ethereal sound strikes Herkulessaal," and Diapason praised him as "subtle and full of authority," highlighting the depth, sensitivity, and versatility of his musical expression. His career began to take shape after his success at the 61st Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition.
